20. My Geometrix™ pendant is fully installed and won't light. What should I do?

If you have a Geometrix™ pendant on a rail or canopy that's not lighting, follow this troubleshooting checklist:

1. Have a certified electrician verify power to your canopy transformer.
   
   
2. Make sure that the light bulb is in working order and installed completely.
   
   
3. Turn power supply (wall switch) off and back on (resetting the electronic transformer). If the pendant cord set has a short circuit, you may hear a click as the transformer's protection circuit trips.
   
   
4. Remove the pendant and inspect the Quick Connect field installation per trim diagram instructions for the following:
   a. Inner wire is not stripped back more than 1/8 inch.
   b. Inner wire is pushed completely to the top of the Quick Connect (view with top set screw removed).
   c. Top set screw is tight.
   d. Brass collar (cable fitter) is slid over the outer braided wire.
   e. Insulation between outer braid and inner wire has not been cut or damaged. (Cutting off the damaged portion may be required.)
   f. Bottom set screw is secured against brass collar (cable fitter) but not over-tightened. In some cases, simply backing off the pressure on the lower screw will relieve the short but will not be a reliable fix.
   Troubleshoot a problem with transformer or pendant by switching pendant locations, cycling power before and after.
