Note on terminology: low-voltage vs. line-voltage.

A low-voltage fixture gets its power through a transformer, housed in a canopy or remotely. Geometrix® pendants are low-voltage. A line-voltage fixture gets its power directly from a junction box in the ceiling. Geometrix® chandeliers and other large fixtures are line-voltage, as are wall sconces and bath bars.
