The global shape of the Da Vinci chandelier might be a subtle reference to Napoleon's desire to conquer the world.
Certainly Napoleon sets the tone for this eclectic living room. Every color in the room may be traced to the custom handpainted reproduction of "Napoleon Crossing the Alps" by Jacques Louis David.
The reflective-refractive nature of Da Vinci complements the mirrored cocktail table, opalescent walls and pearlescent ceiling with a pleasing subtlety.
Despite a bold use of color, the room has a clean white feeling. Da Vinci, likewise, can easily be kept spotless. It's the world's first dishwasher safe crystal chandelier. Photography Ron Ruscio.
